The band should be called "All in the Family". The Ringleader Tom "Wart" Craig, rhythm guitarist, moved to the area to attend Cal Poly in 1970. His deep rooted music and surfing background was instilled by his father, one of the original members of San Onofre Surfing Club back in the 30's! Tom's son, Cody, is the youngster in the group and is the pounding drum that drives the band. He also is a very stylistic surfer and has traveled the world doing what he does best. Cody's brother-in-law, Steve Sweeney, is our Musicologist. He migrated to the area over twenty years ago and has performed in many venues. His music background is unsurpassed and he shines as lead guitarist with his new Fender Stratocaster. Bass player, Ryk Kluver, isn't direct family, but may as well be. He eats at our house more than his own. Ryk's is a multi-talented individual. He not only plays a Leo Keotke twelve string, he makes ukuleles and classic wooden paddleboards. Besides playing music, the WAVEHOGS all surf. We got to talking the other day and realized the four of us have over 140 years of surfing under our belt.
